EXPERIENCE:

1967 - 2000 |  Keith Highlanders Pipe Band - Seattle, Washington

Began private instruction at age 10. Earned status as a band trainee in 1967 and full band membership in 1968. Became the Band Pipe Major in 1974. I held that position with the band four different times along with various administrative posts.

2000 to present | Pipe Major, Kenmore and District Pipe Band - Edmonds, Washington

I am currently the Pipe Major and President of the Kenmore and District Pipe Band. I also serve as one of the band's instructors.

The band has successfully competed at the Grade III level. The band also maintains an active schedule of performances locally as well as diverse venues like Ketchikan and Sitka, Alaska, Canada, Scotland and Mazatlan, Mexico and the City of Brier. In addition to performing with the band, I also perform solo for different functions such as corporate events, church services, weddings, funerals and private parties. I compete in a style of classical bagpipe music called Piobaireachd at the grade II level.
